I do not know its name. I call it the Way. For the lack of better words I call it great.

I have just three things to teach: simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures.

If I had just a little bit of wisdom I should walk the great path and fear only straying from it.

If I have even just a little sense, I will walk on the main road and my only fear will be of straying from it. Keeping to the main road is easy, But people love to be sidetracked.

If one desires to receive one must first give. This is called profound understanding.

If the force of arms is considered the only means of authority, it is not an auspicious instrument.
